History

Immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of a charming seventeenth century mountain farmhouse, with its tuff-vaulted dining hall, grand fireplace, warm ambiance.
It was built around 1650 at Monêtier les Bains – a thermal resort dating from the Roman epoch – on the route of the transalpine pilgrims to the European holy sites and at a privileged site – plumb in the heart of an ancestral alpine village, near the fifteenth century Romanic church.
This ancient farmhouse eventually became a 4-Star hotel that is now in its own right a sort of legend in the region of Serre-Chevalier. Those who come as guests frequently return as friends to bask again in the soothing atmosphere, enjoy the tasteful service and the gastronomical delights, as well as the pleasure of chatting again with the seemingly ageless patronne who presides over it all, always attentive to the smallest detail.
